All is going very well. The children here at the orphanage have proven to be absolutely amazing. It is unbelieveably picturesque here and very humbling to be around such happy people who, by U.S. standards, have so little. The are genuine people who truly express their thoughts and feelings. We are very excited to get into clinic tomorrow and begin seeing the children. The Kenyans are so appreciative to have us here, they have no idea what they are giving to us is far more valuable than we are giving to them. We are going to be very busy over the next few days, but I will try and keep you all "posted". Keep tuned in and I'm hoping pictures are to come. Don't forget www.docfitzgerald.com, Dr. Menu, Dr. Blogs to catch up on a very extensive blog of our trip thus far.

Tomorrow is the big day!!

Well Sept. 27 has finally arrived. We leave Cedar Rapids tomorrow at 1:30 pm for the long journey to Kenya. Excitement and nervousness definitely abound; but mostly excitement. We have been preparing and packing for quite some time now and think we are ready and very prepared. I look forward to keeping everyone posted via the blog on our exciting adventure. Stay tuned and keep us all in your thoughts and prayers.
